Whether the Retainer is sold monthly on a recurring basis or an on-the-spot purchase, tracking the deliverables (hours on the job or Credits charged for the job) is easily the most valuable and important part of the Retainer/Work Tracking Tool in EBSuite.

Once the Retainer is created, you can track activity at the Organization, at the Contact detail or at the Case Activity Detail.

First:  Sell the Retainer 

Second:  Track your Activity (i.e. billable time) against the Retainer 

Third:  Invoice the Retainer and share with your Customer 

Retainer activity is billed against the retainer and the Invoice can be shared with your Customer – Your Customer then has the record of the Professional Service and confidence in you as the Professional providing the service.

With EBSuite you can sell a RETAINER to your customer then charge your Professional Service activity against the Retainer.

1.  Sell Pre-Paid assistance in either “Dollar Amounts”, “Time [...]]]> If you are currently selling Professional Services (e.g. On-Site Support, Consulting, Training, CPA Planning, or Expert Subject Assistance), then you either bill BEFORE or AFTER the service is rendered. 

With EBSuite you can sell a RETAINER to your customer then charge your Professional Service activity against the Retainer.

1.  Sell Pre-Paid assistance in either “Dollar Amounts”, “Time Allotment”, or “Units of Service Credits”- THE RETAINER

2.  Deduct Activity expended against THE RETAINER

3.  Let your customer’s purchase more RETAINER amounts according to their need or periodic consumption.

Here is an example Scenario:

Your Customer:  Sample Company has purchased 10 credits as a Retainer

He has asked for a variety of services from you, so he used 8 credits (only 2 remain – he started with 10)

He asks you to do another task for him that will take 5 credits – But wait.  He only has 2 credits left.

No Problem,  He can be directed to your “Buy Retainers” Portal Page where he can purchase additional quota.

By using  Custom URL “Applet” on the Main Page you can add your Google Calendar to the Main Page by simply copying the Google Calendar XML string into the Custom URL “Applet”.

To add the Google Calendar to your EBSuite Main Page you just need to add the Google Calendar “embed” code into your EBSuite applet

Review the Google embed code and only cut ‘n paste the code between the first set of double quotation marks.

When you create and use a Project Template you always need to define a Project Start Date that is relative to the finishined project’s time frame.  [...]]]> When a Project Template is created from a Finished Project you always provide a Project Start Date.  The Project Start Date is NOT the date of the first Project Task. 

When you create and use a Project Template you always need to define a Project Start Date that is relative to the finishined project’s time frame.  In other words,  by defining the template you define the “window of time” the Project will occupy and that “window of time” will be relative to the previously defined completed tasks of the Project.

A Project Template is just a finished project from which a Project Template is cloned.  The Project Template will have the same steps and, if you want the [...]]]> Well, not so fast.  Creating a Project from a Template is great way to keep your projects tight and complete, but first you have to create a Project Template.

A Project Template is just a finished project from which a Project Template is cloned.  The Project Template will have the same steps and, if you want the same timing relationships between the steps in the project.

Now that a template is available there are two ways to use the template:

• Either by using the existing time relationships between the steps
• Or, by just using the structure of the Project including all of the Steps, but without consideration for the timing of and between the steps.
